Gary L. Zink Obituary

Gary L. Zink, age 70, of Rock Falls, died Sunday, September 15, 2019 at his home.

Gary was born November 17, 1948 in Savanna the son of Larry and Marian (Wires) Zink. He served in the US Air Force and later was employed at Raynor Garage Doors for 15 years and Dohrn Transfer Company for many years. He married Cindy Remala on July 24, 2009 in Rock Falls.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Zink of Rock Falls; his children, Holly (Jim Walters) Zink of Sterling, Ryan (Audra) Zink of Rock Falls, Gary, Jr. (Tasha) Zink of Sterling, Charles (Emily) Hurst of Sterling, Jeremy (Magdalena) Hurst of Calif. and Anthony (Roxy) Hurst of Calif.; two sisters, Linda Maynard and Cheryl Zink both of Rock Falls; one brother, Denny (Julie) Zink of Sterling; eleven grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from Noon – 4:00 PM at White Pines Forest State Park in Mt. Morris.

A memorial has been established.
