Shirley Paddock Wells, 92 of Sterling, died Tuesday, November 19, 2019.

Shirley was born on August 19, 1927 in Tampa, FL, the daughter of Ward and Grace (Myers) Paddock. She married Keith E. Wells on April 3, 1948 in IL. He preceded her in death on December 28, 1991. Shirley was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling, a past member of the Altar and Rosary Society and active in several other parish ministries. She was part of the Secular Franciscan Order, Associate of the Clinton, IA Franciscan.

Survivors include three daughters, Susan (Gary Speer) Wells of Houston, TX, Barbara Wells of Sterling and Patricia Otten of Sterling; one son Marty (Deb) Wells of Morrison; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one brother, Bill Paddock; and two sisters, Arnett Cranberg and Jean Gallagher.

Visitation will be Friday, November 22, 2019 from 9:00-10:00 A.M. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Funeral service will follow at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Reverend Slawomir Zimodro, officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant View Nursing Home in Morrison.
