DIXON – Vicki Lynn Dunphy, 56, of Dixon, died on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at her home. Vicki was born on May 25, 1965 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Gerald Eugene and Judith Ann (Daye) Vince. Vicki was married to Bradley Dunphy on July 4, 1999, in which he married a firecracker.

Vicki was employed in education for the past 21 years; 8 years as a middle school math teacher at Challand Middle School, 4 years as an associate principal at Sterling High School, and the past 9 years as the assistant principle at Rock Falls High School. It was her goal to be the best educational professional that she could be, donating her time to her students and families before, during, and after the school day. Vicki was a great supporter of her children, grandchildren, family, and chosen family.

Survivors include her husband, Bradley; her daughter, Kayce Brook (Greenawalt) Degenhardt; son-in-law, Brian David Degenhardt; grandchildren, Marley Kae and Aiden Matthew Degenhardt; her daughter, Kenzie Renea (Greenawalt) Reed; son-in-law, Lord Lance Randal Reed; her mother, Judith Ann (Daye) Vince; her sister, Dawn Michelle (Vince) Jones; her brother, Bradley Joseph Vince; several other relatives; special friends; and "The Beaches."

Vicki was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Eugene Vince; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Cremation rites will be accorded. In honor of Vicki's wishes, no services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in contribution to her grandchildren's post-secondary education.
